‘I carried car for 45km’

Dhan Bahadur Gole, 92, is one of the last known surviving car porters of Nepal.

He was one of a team of porters carrying cars when the landlocked mountainous nation was cut off from the rest of the world.

I went to meet him to his village Chitlang, some 15 km away from the capital Kathmandu where he shared his stunning experience with me.

My story on Gole appeared in BBC News, BBC World Service and BBC Nepali Service. The short video on him, attracted huge audience in no time. The video was watched by 3 million in just a few minutes it was uploaded in BBC News. The audio interview was a huge hit as well.
